Classification and characteristics of angular contact ball bearings

Angular contact ball bearing is a common type of rolling bearing. The basic angular contact ball bearing consists of an outer side, an inner hole, a set of bearing steel balls and a set of ball bearings. There are two types of angular contact ball bearings: row entry and double row. The row item angular contact ball bearing number is 6, and the double row angular contact ball bearing number is 4. Its structure is simple and practical, and it is a more common and widely used bearing.

Principle of angular contact ball bearing: Angular contact ball bearing mainly bears axial load, but can also bear axial load and radial load. When it only bears the axial load, the interfacial tension is zero. When the axial backlash of angular contact ball bearing is large, it has the characteristics of angular contact bearing and can bear large radial load.

Angular contact ball bearing bearing structure: Angular contact ball bearing structure is simple, compared with other types, it is convenient to achieve higher manufacturing precision, which is conducive to mass production, and the manufacturing cost is also low. This type also has various shape modification structures such as: Angular Contact Ball Bearing with Seal Cover, Angular Contact Ball Bearing with Silicone Seal, Angular Contact Ball Bearing with Stop Groove, Steel Ball Groove Bearing with Stop Groove, Double Row of angular contact ball bearings.

Angular contact ball bearing is a relatively common rolling bearing. It consists of an outer side, an inner hole, a set of bearing steel balls and a set of ball bearings. The bearing can bear axial load and radial load, with simple structure and low manufacturing cost. All good for mass production. Today, the angular contact ball bearing manufacturer Rockwell Xiaobian will introduce to you the classification and characteristics of angular contact ball bearings. Let's take a look at it together!

1. Classification of angular contact ball bearings

1. Single row angular contact ball bearings

(1) Single row angular contact ball bearings mainly include series 718, 719, 70, 72, 73, etc. The outer diameter and thickness of bearings with the same inner diameter and different series increase in turn according to the above order. Example 71900 and 71800 have the same inner diameter, but the outer diameter and thickness are larger than the latter.

(2) Angular contact ball bearings can bear (one-way) axial and radial forces at the same time. Contact angles are generally 15° (suffix C), 25° (suffix AC), 30° (suffix A) and 40° (suffix B). The smaller the angle, the smaller the axial load and the faster the speed, and vice versa. , the greater the axial load, the slower the speed.

2. Paired double angular contact ball bearings

The bearing that combines two sets of radial bearings into pairs is called a paired double bearing. Usually paired duplex bearings are composed of the same angular contact ball bearings. Paired double angular contact ball bearings can be divided into three categories: back-to-back configuration, face-to-face configuration, and series configuration:

(1) Back-to-back configuration (code DB): It can withstand radial loads and axial loads in two directions. The distance between the action points is large, so it is suitable for applications with large moment loads.

(2) Face-to-face configuration (code DF): It can withstand radial loads and axial loads in two directions. Compared with the back-to-back duplex, the distance between the action points is small, so the moment load capacity is poor.

(3) Tandem configuration (code DT): It can bear radial load and axial load in one direction. The axial load is supported by two bearings, so it is used for occasions where the load in one direction is large. ‍

3. Double row angular contact ball bearings

Double row angular contact ball bearings are double row angular contact ball bearings, but occupy less axial space (thickness is slightly narrower than two single row angular contact ball bearings), which can limit the bidirectional axial displacement of the shaft or housing, and the contact angle is 30°. Rigid bearing arrangements are available and can withstand overturning moments. It is widely used in the front wheel hub of the car.

4. Four-point angular contact ball bearing

The four-point contact ball bearing is a single row angular contact ball bearing with separate inner and outer rings. The inner ring is divided into two parts, and one bearing can bear axial loads in two directions.

The contact angle is 35°, and the axial load capacity is large, which is suitable for bearing pure axial load or synthetic load with large axial load. Interchangeable with face-to-face or back-to-back angular contact ball bearings.

5. Thrust angular contact ball bearings

The bidirectional thrust angular contact ball bearing and double row cylindrical roller bearing can bear bidirectional axial load when used together. Divided into 2344 and 2347 series, 2344 series is used for small match with double row cylindrical roller bearing tapered hole, while 2347 is used for large match.

6. Ball screw support bearing

The ball screw support bearing is a one-way thrust angular contact ball bearing with a contact angle of 60°, which is especially suitable for the support of high-speed precision CNC machine tools. Common ones are 7602 (standard metric), 7603 (standard metric), BS (non-standard metric) and BSS (non-standard imperial) series.

Second, the characteristics of angular contact ball bearings

1. Simple structure

The structure and composition of angular contact ball bearings are relatively simple, which are embodied in the following aspects: first, in terms of shape, the shape of angular contact ball bearings is similar to that of deep groove ball bearings. One ring has only one rib, and the other side is a slope; It is the cage of the bearing. The cage of the angular contact ball bearing is solid or stamped, and does not require rivets; it can also be seen from these two aspects that although the structure of the angular contact ball bearing is simple, the strength has not been reduced.

2. High limit speed

The limit speed of angular contact ball bearings is relatively high. Under the same working intensity, the limit speed of angular contact ball bearings can be higher than other types
